Jay Jennings was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and attended Hinsdale Central High School. Jennings attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and graduated with a marketing degree.
Immediately after graduation, Jennings began working for Northwest Airlines, which later became Delta Airlines. He saw increased job responsibilities, specifically in the sales management department. This division was broken into smaller “teams” that focused on sales and marketing for the company. The team that Jennings worked on actually went on to create, develop, and launch the popular Delta SkyMiles program.
Jennings eventually decided to exit the airline industry, which he still loves, to pursue an opportunity in the media world that he simply couldn’t turn down.
For the next 20 years, Jennings worked in several sales and marketing management roles at CBS Radio (now Audacy.) Specifically, from 2016-2021, his duties featured a heavy emphasis on digital sales and marketing.
Realizing that digital was much more trackable and offered the attribution that traditional media did not, Jennings decided to leave the Radio industry in 2021 and come work for Make The Turn as VP of Business Development.
Jay Jennings oversees the revenue growth for the company. This includes developing new business and growing existing business. Jennings is a growth-oriented individual who has a proven track record of listening to clients and developing solutions to drive sales and leads through media advertising.
Jennings, a senior sales & marketing executive with over 30 years of leadership experience, uses his extensive career experience at Make The Turn to successfully develop and deploy complex sales initiatives, as well as a deep knowledge of broadcast media and the evolving digital advertising space.
